Paragould, AR – (Contributed) – The Arkansas Community Foundation of Greene County has awarded a $10,000 grant to Together We Foster to support children in need of foster care and those at risk for neglect or child abuse.

Together We Foster has locations that serve multiple counties in Northeast Arkansas, including both Craighead and Greene counties.

The local award is part of a statewide initiative totaling more than $1 million in grants made by Arkansas Community Foundation to recognize 50 years of philanthropy and partnership across Arkansas. Each affiliate selected one nonprofit in its region based on local priorities, community data, and measurable impact.

“Our board is proud to recognize Together We Foster for its outstanding service to support children in need of foster care said Kerri Watson, executive director. “This investment reflects our community’s generosity and the mission we share with the Foundation statewide, to build stronger communities for the next generation.”

The Greene County Affiliate Board selected Together We Foster because of its measurable results in and its alignment with community needs identified through Aspire Arkansas data and local insight.

This grant was part of a larger milestone celebration for the Community Foundation. Other grantmaking across the state included:

  • Nine $50,000 “Legacy” grants honoring long-standing nonprofits with deep statewide influence;
  • Nine $30,000 “Rising Nonprofit” grants recognizing emerging organizations shaping Arkansas’s future;
  • Twenty-nine $10,000 “Affiliate” grants, one in each community served by a local affiliate.

Together, these investments celebrate both the Foundation’s rich history and its continued commitment to meeting Arkansas’s most pressing needs. For 50 years, Arkansas Community Foundation has connected people, resources, and causes to build stronger communities across the state. Through its 29 local affiliates, the Foundation has provided more than $600 million in grants since 1976.
