The city’s public transit service, GOJO, is offering free rides to all cooling centers. Riders are asked to tell their driver which station they are going to and to be aware of any selected routes and destinations for timeframes.

Hot temperatures, combined with high humidity, could cause heat illnesses. People are advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioning and out of the sun whenever possible, and to check on relatives and neighbors. Ensure pets have plenty of fresh water and shade.
