Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Craighead County is joining counties across the state and nation in participating in the National Association of Counties’ Operation Green Light campaign, a visible effort to honor and support veterans.

According to a news release from Craighead County, from Nov. 4 to Veterans Day (Nov. 11), the Craighead County Courthouse in downtown Jonesboro will be lighted with green lights to “let local veterans know they are seen, appreciated, and supported.”

The Arkansas Association of Arkansas Counties is promoting the campaign, the release said, and is inviting counties to light their courthouses and other government buildings in green to express gratitude for U.S. Armed Forces veterans.

Craighead County residents and businesses are also encouraged to participate by displaying green lights from Nov. 4-11. Photos and updates will be shared on Craighead County’s official Facebook page.
