Crews Respond to 3-Vehicle Crash in Jonesboro

Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – Roads have been shut down as crews respond to a three-vehicle crash in Jonesboro.

According to Jonesboro E911 Dispatch, both lanes of traffic have been closed in the area of East Highland Drive and Easley Lane. Dispatch reported the accident at 7:44 a.m.

Sgt. David Stout with the Jonesboro Police Department said one person with severe injuries was transported to St. Bernards via ambulance. Initially, a medical helicopter had been called before crews on scene decided to cancel it and transport the injured by ambulance, he said.

Crews were still working to unhook the semi-truck involved in the wreck, and Stoud said the roads would likely be shut down for another 45 minutes.

JPD later reported that the roadway had reopened.
