Downtown Jonesboro road to be closed next Friday

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug. 22, 2025 – A downtown Jonesboro road will be closed next Friday for the annual Paint the Town Red festivities.

A City of Jonesboro Facebook post said Main Street, from Huntington Avenue to Cate Avenue, will be temporarily closed on Friday, Aug. 29, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The post said Huntington Avenue itself will remain open and passable.

The closure is to allow for the Community Block Party, as part of the Paint the Town Red celebration that kicks off the A-State football season.
