Downtown Jonesboro Roads to Close Beginning Thursday Night for BBQ Fest

Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – Multiple road closures will be in effect in downtown Jonesboro beginning Thursday night for the upcoming Downtown Jonesboro BBQ Fest.

According to a notice from the City of Jonesboro, streets will close beginning at 10 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, and will reopen Sunday, Sept. 27 at 6 a.m. The following streets will be affected:

  • Main Street from Washington to Cate avenues
  • Union Street from Washington to Cate avenues
  • Huntington Avenue from Church to Madison streets
  • Monroe Avenue from Church to Madison streets

Drivers are asked to plan an alternate route if traveling in the area and to use caution during the festival.

This will be the 16th year of the Downtown Jonesboro BBQ Festival. The two-day event, scheduled for Sept. 25-26, will feature several live music lineups, barbeque and retail vendors and kids’ activities. More information about the music lineup and the festival can be found here.
