Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Motorcyclists, bikers, and Jeep drivers can soon ride to help end human trafficking.
Hope Found of Northeast Arkansas’s annual Ride Against Trafficking is scheduled for June. The event, which raises funds for Hope Found, engages NEA’s biker community to spread awareness about human trafficking.
“Nonprofits need funding to continue to grow and serve the population, and continue serving the population we serve,” said Hope Found of NEA executive director Megan Brown. “This fundraiser helps us do that. It goes right back into our programs and allows us to continue working with our clients and educating the community.”

Historically, the event has featured motorcyclists, cyclists, and families riding throughout Craighead Forest Park and across NEA to promote the cause, while participants learned about human trafficking and how to prevent it. This year, however, event organizers are trying something different.
From May 1-31, during National Bike Month, bikers and cyclists are encouraged to ride and track their mileage. Those who log the most miles will win special prizes. Miles can be tracked digitally or through a physical calendar provided by Hope Found and must be submitted to the nonprofit by June 4.
To kick off the May campaign, the nonprofit will host the National Bike Month Kickoff Party on April 30 at Native Brew Works, located at 515 S. Gee St., from 6-8 p.m. Here, bike riders can register for the campaign and get a Ride Against Trafficking T-Shirt or cooling towel. Adult signup for the May campaign is $20, and $15 for youth and toddlers.
The Ride Against Trafficking event will follow on June 6 at Osment’s Harley-Davidson of Jonesboro, located at 2715 Industrial Drive, in which motorcyclists and Jeep drivers will head out to ride across Jonesboro and greater Northeast Arkansas for the cause. This is the first year Jeep drivers have been included in the event. Registration for this event is $20 and will begin at 9:30 a.m. on the day of the ride.

Those who participated in the May bike campaign are encouraged to come out that day for a free BBQ lunch, which will also be provided to the motorcyclists and Jeep drivers. The motorist route is a roughly two-hour ride and takes riders near Lake Frierson, into Cherry Valley, through Harrisburg, and back to Jonesboro.
Hope Found of NEA is a Jonesboro-based nonprofit that provides resources and advocates for human trafficking victims, as well as educating the community on the topic.
