Jonesboro library to reopen on Saturdays starting this weekend

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 8, 2025 – The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library will reopen on Saturdays starting Sept. 13, it announced Monday.

It has been operating under adjusted hours due to its experiencing HVAC issues. Updates on HVAC repairs will be provided as they happen through the library’s social media channels, according to a news release from the library.

The library will reopen on Saturdays with the following hours, starting on Sept. 13:

  • Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Weather permitting, the library plans to resume regular operating hours on Monday, Oct. 6, a news release from the library said. This date may change depending on daily temperatures come Oct. 6, the release said.

Regular operating hours are:

  • Monday through Friday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 
  • Saturday: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
