Jonesboro University Heights Lions Club to Display U.S. Flags for Flag Day

Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – The Jonesboro University Heights Lions Club is displaying flags across community businesses and buildings in recognition of Flag Day.

Flag Day, which falls on June 14, recognizes the day the American flag’s design was approved by the Continental Congress back in 1777.

The flag display is part of the club’s service project, which provides flags, poles and flag brackets to the community for $50 per year. Flags are displayed at least 10 times per year, including national holidays and special days, weather permitting.
