JPD called to shooting, seeking person of interest

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – The Jonesboro Police Department (JPD) was called to the scene of an early morning shooting today.

The shooting took place in the 300 block of State Street just after 3 a.m., according to a Facebook post. When officers arrived, they found a male with a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services transported the victim to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 4 a.m.

JPD is seeking a person of interest in this shooting. Anyone with information is encouraged to call (870) 935-5657.
