Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – A lane of traffic is partially blocked due to a pedestrian accident with injury, according to Jonesboro E911 Dispatch.

Around 10:30 a.m., dispatch reported that the northbound lane of Red Wolf Boulevard, north of Highland Drive, was partially blocked due to a pedestrian accident with injury.

Jonesboro Police Department public information official Sally Smith told JRN that the pedestrian had been transported to an area hospital, and that his injuries were not lifethreatening.

She added that a truck that was transporting a load in the back traveled through the intersection, when the load shifted. A passenger in the truck got out to inspect the load and the truck accidently backed over him, she said.

The road will likely reopen soon, she said, but motorists are asked to use alternate routes if traveling in the area.

This story has been updated to include additional information about the accident.

This is a developing story. JRN will provide updates as they are available.
