Lanes of Interstate in Jonesboro Blocked Due to Accident

Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – The northbound lanes of an interstate in Jonesboro are shut down due to an accident.

According to Jonesboro E911 Dispatch, the northbound lanes of Interstate-555 between Exit 40 and Exit 42, which lead to Nettleton and Caraway, respectively, are shut down. iDrive Arkansas reported the crash at 3:28 p.m.

Craighead County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Matt Kirby told JRN the accident was between a pickup and a larger truck, and it resulted in at least one injured person, who had to be extracted from the vehicle. Jonesboro Police Department officers are on scene to direct traffic.
