November Neighborhood Cleanup in Jonesboro relocated

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – November’s Neighborhood Cleanup has been relocated, the City of Jonesboro announced Tuesday.

In a Facebook post, the city said the cleanup had been relocated due to circumstances “beyond our control,” but that it was now taking place at University Heights School of Medical Arts, located at 3901 Aggie Road. It will still take place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1.

City staff will be on-site to assist with loading items into dumpsters. Glass and cardboard recycling will also be available.

Keep Jonesboro Beautiful will have free paper lawn bags available for pickup, while supplies last.

Accepted items are listed below:

  • Clothes
  • Tires (limit to eight, no rims)
  • Basketball goals
  • Furniture (includes electronics such as TVs, computers and printers)
  • Appliances such as dryers, washers and fridges (freon and compressors must be removed)
  • Paint cans (must be empty of all paint, lids must be removed, and any residue must be dry)

The city will not accept the following:

  • Yard waste/limbs
  • Tractor/semi tires
  • Hazmat materials, such as oils, flammable or corrosive materials, automotive parts, or motors
  • Remodeling/construction materials (single pieces accepted)
