Part of Main Street to be temporarily closed for Homecoming event

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – A part of Main Street will be temporarily closed Friday, Oct. 24, for Meet Me on Main: Homecoming Edition.

A Facebook post from the City of Jonesboro said Main Street from Huntington to Cate avenues will be closed from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Drivers are asked to plan accordingly.

The event will celebrate Arkansas State University’s Homecoming, with festivities to begin at 5:30 p.m., another City of Jonesboro Facebook post said. The post describes the event as a “community street party filled with Red Wolf spirit, downtown fun and hometown pride.”

For the Homecoming game, the Red Wolves will take on Georgia Southern. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. at Centennial Bank Stadium, and gates open at 4 p.m. Only clear bags will be allowed inside the stadium.
