Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 8, 2025 – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.

JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.

Meet Manalo: Manalo is a 1-year-old male domestic shorthair. He’s only been in the shelter for three days, but he’s already one of our favorites! He’s up to date on his vaccines, neutered, and an absolute cuddle bug!

Meet Ghoul: Ghoul is an 18-week-old male who’s been in the shelter for five weeks. He came in with his littermate, who’s already been adopted, as part of a welfare situation. He’s up to date on all of his vaccines and preventatives and weighs 18 lbs. We think he’ll be medium-sized when he’s an adult, and he’s very playful and friendly!
