Public hearing for proposed improvements to Highway 49 to be held Sept. 25 in Marmaduke

Marmaduke, AR – (Contributed) – Sept. 8, 2025 – The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) will host an in‑person Location and Design Public Hearing to present and discuss the design plans and Environmental Assessment for the proposed improvements to Highway 49, from Marmaduke to south of Halliday, in Greene County, AR.

The hearing will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Marmaduke Community Center at 307 W. Mill St.

This will be an “open house” meeting with no formal presentations. The public is invited to visit anytime during the scheduled hours to view exhibits, ask questions, and offer comments. Project information became available online on Aug. 26.

Comment forms will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9.
