Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – A man faces several felony charges after agents said that a convicted felon was staying at his Jonesboro home, where they found multiple drugs and firearms.

Judge Chris Thyer found probable cause Dec. 31 to charge 27-year-old Courtland Danny Blake with the following:

  • Class Y Felony: Simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms
  • Class C Felony: Possession of a Schedule I or II substance (not meth or cocaine) with the purpose to deliver
  • Class C Felony: Possession of a Schedule VI substance with the purpose to deliver
  • Class B Felony: Possession of a firearm by certain persons (prior violent felony with deadly weapon)
  • Class D Felony: Possession of drug paraphernalia

According to the affidavit, on Dec. 11, Special Agent Chris Jefferson of the Second Judicial Drug Task Force was driving when he saw several people standing in a parking lot in the 3000 block of Dayton Avenue.

The agent said that at some point, a vehicle drove away, and inside, 29-year-old Tobias Jerrel  Williams and a woman were arguing. At some point, the vehicle came to an abrupt stop, with the woman exiting the vehicle and engaging in a hostile confrontation with Williams, to which he grabbed her by the hair. The woman then struck Williams in the face, and Williams began hitting the woman. Eventually, the two were broken up and taken into custody.

Because Williams was on probation and living at the home of Blake, a probation search was conducted, with several items found by Jefferson and Agent Bryan Bailey, including a digital scale, another baggie containing marijuana (amount unknown), an AR-style rifle, and an extended 9mm pistol magazine. The agents also found 43.6 grams of marijuana inside Williams’ vehicle. Because of this, a search warrant was prepared by Jefferson and signed by District Judge David Boling.

The affidavit stated that during a search of the entire home, agents found the following items:

  • A vacuum-sealed package containing 224 grams of marijuana
  • 64 Ecstasy pills inside a mason jar
  • Multiple baggies containing 146.9 grams of marijuana
  • Two digital scales, each with marijuana residue
  • A loaded Taurus 38 special revolver
  • A loaded 9mm Taurus pistol
  • A loaded .223 10-round rifle magazine

Due to the charges, Blake was given a $175,000 cash/surety bond. He is scheduled to be back in court on Jan. 23, 2026.

Meanwhile, Williams is being held on a $250,000 cash/surety bond. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim in the case and is also scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 23, 2026.
