UPDATE OCT. 28:

The Jonesboro Police Department released the initial incident report on Monday regarding the shooting at the VFW Post 1991 over the weekend.

The report lists eight victims, who were from various Northeast Arkansas towns such as Marion, Trumann, Paragould and West Memphis, as well as Pine Bluff and Jacksonville.

The narrative in the report says police arrived at the VFW building and saw multiple people in the parking lot, but that none of them offered information regarding the shooting.

Officers later found the gunshot victim on the building’s south side. The report says several males, who were the victim’s friends, were standing around him.

These friends said they’d been standing in the parking lot when “someone started shooting,” and they ran to the south side of the building.

Other local media outlets have reported that, currently, no arrests have been made.
