Shots fired during attempted robbery

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jonesboro Police responded to a shots-fired call at the Gladiolus Express Exxon, 3511 Harrisburg Road, Friday night.

Upon arriving at the scene officers learned that a man wearing a white wrap or “turban” attempted to rob an individual when shots were fired.

Witnesses reported hearing five to six gunshots. After the shots were fired others at the store ran away.

K8 news reported police said no one at the scene was injured. A vehicle in the parking lot was shot in the windshield.

The shots fired calls were received around 8:20pm.

No other information was available.
