Trumann woman killed in accident on Rogers Chapel Road

Craighead County, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – A Trumann woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Craighead County, according to the Arkansas State Police.

The crash happened at approximately 8:33 a.m. on April 27 at the intersection of County Road 905 (Rogers Chapel Road) and County Road 912, just outside Jonesboro.

Authorities identified the victim as Martha Allen Deese, 58, of Trumann. She was the driver of a 2017 Chevrolet involved in the crash and was pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported.

According to the preliminary report, Deese’s vehicle was traveling northbound on County Road 905 when it attempted to turn left and collided with a southbound 2002 Peterbilt semi-truck.

Weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office.
