Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – As America approaches its big 250th birthday, JRN has compiled a list of Independence Day and 250th birthday bash events across Northeast Arkansas.

This list will be updated as we learn of more festivities.

Red White and Blue Festival

• When: June 26-27
• Where: ASU-Mountain Home campus
• Details: Events and activities include a parade, rodeo, food, and a fireworks display.

Lake City America 250 Fireworks Celebration

• When: June 27, 9 p.m.
• Where: Wayne “Biscuits” Short Park in Lake City
• Details: This event is a fireworks show celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.

Boston Tea Party Boat Building

• When: June 29, 2-3 p.m.
• Where: Round Room of Craighead County Public Library, located at 315 W. Oak Ave., Jonesboro
• Cost: Free
• Details: This event is for kids in kindergarten through third grade, and will teach kids to build seaworthy boats to drop in the library’s very own Boston Harbor.

Puppet Show: Henny Penny – The British are Coming!

• When: July 1, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. There will also be a related puppet-making workshop from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
• Where: Round Room of Craighead County Public Library, located at 315 W. Oak Ave., Jonesboro
• Cost: Free
• Details: Children’s staff will present a “revolutionary” adaptation of Henny Penny. Later that same day, kids in kindergarten through third grade will get to make their own puppets, then act out the Henny Penny show.

Fly Over Arkansas

• When: July 1, with the Jonesboro flyover scheduled for roughly around 12 p.m.
• Where: Multiple cities across Northeast Arkansas, but the Jonesboro flyover will occur over Main Street in downtown Jonesboro
• Details: The Arkansas National Guard will be doing a flyover across Arkansas prior to July 4 to celebrate the country’s 250th anniversary. A full list of Arkansas cities included in the flyover can be found here.

America 250 – Teen Trivia Tournament

• When: July 1, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Where: Round Room of Craighead County Public Library, located at 315 W. Oak Ave., Jonesboro
• Cost: Free
• Details: Teens are invited to celebrate America’s 250th by learning wacky facts about all fifty states in a trivia tournament. Festive treats will be provided.

Patriotic Rosette Pin Making

• When: July 1, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• Where: Round Room of Craighead County Public Library, located at 315 W. Oak Ave., Jonesboro
• Cost: Free
• Details: Adults are invited to create patriotic rosettes and other America-themed vintage fashion accessories.

Design-A-Flag

• When: July 2, 2-3 p.m.
• Where: Craighead County Public Library, located at 315 W. Oak Ave., Jonesboro
• Cost: Free
• Details: Kids in kindergarten through 3rd grade are invited to create their own flag, as well as learn about the symbolism of the U.S. flag.

Patriotic Community Slow Roll

• When: July 2, 6:30 p.m.
• Where: Native Brew Works, 515 S. Gee St., Jonesboro
• Cost: Free
• Details: Native Brew Works will be hosting a community slow roll that lasts about an hour. Riders are encouraged to deck themselves and their bikes out in red, white and blue. No registration is required.

Food Trucks and Fireworks

• When: July 3, 6 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
• Where: Nettleton Baptist Church, 7001 E. Johnson Ave., Jonesboro
• Details: This event, now in its fifth year, will have over 30 food trucks, a petting zoo, a balloon artist, facepainting, and will conclude with a fireworks show.

4th Fest

• When: July 3, 9 p.m.
• Where: Joe Mack Campbell Park, 3021 Dan Ave., Jonesboro
• Cost: Free
• Details: Attendees are encouraged to arrive at the park early to secure a good spot. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

America’s 250th in Hardy

• When: July 3-4
• Where: City of Hardy
• Details: Live music will be played July 3-4, and the new King Family Pocket Park will be dedicated July 4 at 10 a.m. In addition, the Historic District will be decked out in red, white and blue.

80th Annual 4th of July Caraway Picnic

• When: July 3-4
• Where: Caraway City Park in Caraway
• Details: The festivities begin on Friday, July 3 with Praise in the Park, an evening of worship and music. Then, all day July 4 will be the picnic, which will have live music, games for all ages, food trucks and local vendors, and conclude the night with fireworks.

Four on the 4th Paragould

• When: July 4, with races beginning at 8 a.m.
• Where: Paragould Community Center, 3404 Linwood Drive, Paragould
• Cost: The in-person and virtual 4-mile races have a $40 entry fee. The Kids Fun Run has a $20 entry fee. Click here to register.
• Details: This event invites the community to race a few miles to kick off Independence Day. The race consists of four 1-mile loops, with participants getting a beaded necklace at the end of each loop. There is also a Kids Fun Run, and medals will be given to all race finishers. Racers are asked to stick around after the fact for hot dogs and awards.

Red, White, and Blue Color Run

• When: July 4, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• Where: Arkansas State University campus in Jonesboro
• Cost: $20 per adult, $10 for kids aged 12 and under
• Details: A portion of the proceeds will benefit Hope Found of Northeast Arkansas. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with the walk/run to begin at 9 a.m.

Corning 4th of July Celebration

• When: July 4 from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
• Where: Wynn Park in Corning
• Details: Several activities for the whole family are scheduled at this celebration, including a parade, the Great American Wheelbarrow Race, monster truck rides, a foam party, and more. Food and beverage vendors will be present.

Mountain View’s 250th Fourth of July Parade

• When: July 4, with festivities beginning at 10 a.m.
• Where: Main Street in Mountain View
• Details: The parade will begin at 10 a.m. Free watermelon and hot dogs will be served at 11 a.m., and kids games will also begin at 11 a.m. A fireworks show will begin after dark at the City Ballfield.

Wings of Honor 4th of July Celebration

• When: July 4, beginning at 11 a.m.
• Where: Wings of Honor Museum, 70 Beacon Road in Walnut Ridge
• Details: This event will feature live music, a patriotic costume contest, programming honoring veterans, as well as free hot dogs and drinks. Marybeth Byrd will perform the National Anthem. In addition, the museum itself will be open that day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Happy Birthday America at Trinity Baptist Church

• When: July 4, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Where: Trinity Baptist Church, 2411 Highway 64 W., Wynne
• Cost: Free
• Details: This event will include bounce houses, horse rides, a dunking booth, music, food, and will conclude the night with a fireworks show.

America 250 Freedom Fest

• When: July 4, with festivities beginning at 4 p.m.
• Where: Various locations across the Arkansas State University campus in Jonesboro
• Cost: Free
• Details: A car show will take place near First National Bank Arena beginning at 4 p.m., and a cornhole tournament is scheduled inside the arena. In addition, the Delta Symphony Orchestra will present its annual Independence Day Concert in the Fowler Center, located at 201 Olympic Drive, at 7 p.m. The professional fireworks show will begin around 9:30 p.m., and several other activities and food trucks are planned. The 2026 Paragould Fireworks Show

• When: July 4, gates open at 7:30 p.m.
• Where: Rotary Softball Park, 309 Carroll Road, Paragould
• Cost: Free
• Details: This event will include free refreshments, while supplies last, and a fireworks show.

Living Lyrics and Forgotten Feasts Reading Retreat

• When: July 11, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Where: Southern Tenant Farmers Museum, 117 N. Main St., Tyronza
• Cost: $60. Register for the event here.
• Details: This event will examine historic American foods and music and intends to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
