Women for Democracy to Host ‘Meet the Candidates’ in Jonesboro

Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – Voters can meet several candidates running in the 2026 general election, including U.S. Senate Democratic candidate Hallie Shoffner, this Saturday in Jonesboro.

Several candidates will be set up at the Rotary Centennial Plaza in downtown Jonesboro, which is in front of The Forum Theater. The event is set for Saturday, Sept. 19, beginning around 4 p.m. Shoffner will speak around 4:30 p.m. and will take questions from audience members after her talk.

The Democratic Party of Craighead County will on site to provide free hot dogs, will additional beverages available for purchase at Stage, Too, located at 330 S. Main St.

In addition, voter registration will be available during the event.

Early voting for the 2026 general election begins Oct. 19 and will conclude Nov. 2. Election Day will be Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The deadline to register to vote for this election is Monday, Oct. 5. Click here for voter registration information.
